Spartan Group founders John O. Johnson and Peter D. Morgan both had significant and successful careers with large corporate investment banking firms, but became disenchanted with the way these banks prioritized profits over the people they professed to serve. Believing they could leverage their experience to bring top-tier service to entrepreneurs and family business owners in specialized sectors of the middle-market, they left the world of Wall Street to found The Spartan Group in 2002.
